Klein Tools ET600 Insulation Resistance Tester and TRMS Multimeter, 1,000 V
The ET600 is a handheld megohmmeter with a true RMS multimeter built in. It tests insulation on de-energized circuits and equipment at 125, 250, 500 or 1,000 V DC up to 4,000 MΩ, and it reads AC/DC voltage to 1,000 V, continuity and resistance.
Highlights
- A lock button holds the test voltage on, so you can keep both hands on the probes.
- If the circuit is still live when the leads go on, a steady beep and a high-voltage icon warn you before the insulation test.
- Backlit 4,000-count display shows the reading on the main line and the applied test voltage below it, with a bar graph.
- Rated CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1,000 V, and built to EN 61557 parts 1, 2 and 4.
- Fresh alkaline AAs last at least 137 tests at 1,000 V into 1 MΩ (5 s on, 25 s off).
- A built-in kickstand holds it upright on a bench, and the 69417 magnetic hanger (sold separately) clips into the back.
