Stiebel Eltron Tempra 29 Plus Electric Tankless Water Heater, 28.8 kW, 240 V (239223)
The Tempra 29 Plus is a whole-house electric tankless water heater that draws 28.8 kW at 240 V and needs no venting. It modulates power to match the incoming water temperature and flow, and holds a setpoint anywhere from 68°F to 140°F. On this Plus model, Advanced Flow Control trims the flow slightly when demand outruns capacity, so the outlet stays at the set temperature.
Highlights
- At 240 V it delivers 3.03 gpm at 105°F from 39°F inlet water, or 4.36 gpm from 59°F.
- At 240 V the heater needs three 40 A double-pole breakers and three 8/2 AWG copper runs; 200 A minimum main service recommended.
- Preset 1 and Preset 2 buttons store two temperatures, and a second display line shows flow rate or savings.
- Rated UEF 0.98 with 99% recovery efficiency, and only 0.39 gal of water sits inside.
- The water lines connect to 3/4 in. NPT fittings, and the heater works at 30–150 psi water pressure.
- The manual also allows wiring the heater for balanced three-phase 208 V service.
