Ingersoll Rand 231G 1/2 in. Drive Air Impact Wrench
The 231G is a 1/2 in. drive pneumatic impact wrench from the Ingersoll Rand EDGE Series, built on the 231C design. It is sized for garage, shop and farm work, with up to 500 ft-lbs of reverse torque for breaking fasteners loose and a forward working range up to 300 ft-lbs for running them back on.
Highlights
- A twin hammer mechanism is driven by a 6-vane air motor that spins up to 8,000 RPM free speed.
- A power regulator gives full power at setting 5 and turns forward or reverse output down for smaller fasteners.
- Variable-speed trigger gives finer control on starts and lowers power further below the regulator setting.
- Pistol grip handle is shaped to reduce the vibration that reaches your hand during long jobs.
- Air enters through a 1/4 in. inlet with NPT thread and needs at least a 3/8 in. hose.
